Libya Revolution. Introduction. The Libya Revolution was an uprising in the North African ingenuous that started in early 2011 (15th February) to the day Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi was killed on 20th October 2011. The uprising was sparked by a series of convertible uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt that disposed of the leaders of those countries Ben Ali and Hosni Mubarak respectively.
